I was able to help and improve the performance of many horses on my April trip to Iowa. Thanks to those clients who allowed me to benefit their horses. The attached photos are of a treated case of hives. The horse had been suffering for about 3 years with the winter months being worse. The owner had attempted the hypo-sensitizing (Allergy Shots) injections with little help. To get control of the hives, the owner was having to give dexamethasone, a steroid injection every day to every 4th day.
We started treatment the end of November with Acupuncture and herbal therapy. The hives started to reduce after the first treatment. By the middle of January, which was during the equine’s worse part of the year, he was off of the dexamethasone with no hives. The herbs were withdrawn from treatment the end of March with April being the last Acupuncture treatment until late summer. We will re-evaluate at that time since fall is the metal time of the year. Metal constitution has the primary organ Lung which controls the skin in TCVM. Read previous and future blog posts to help better understand this relationship.
May dates for Iowa trip is May 16th and 17th. If you would like an appointment contact me soon. The appointment time slots are almost full. June dates will be the 20th and 21st.
